AI project – Ravens Point

The story

After twenty years away, a journalist returns to her remote coastal hometown to make a reportage — a simple assignment that soon becomes a personal reckoning.

The town of Ravens Point carries an old rumor: the ghost of a young girl appears in the firehouse from time to time, silent and glowing faintly like smoke in the cold air. As the journalist begins to investigate, she uncovers fragments of memory that feel disturbingly familiar.

Slowly she realizes  the ghost she’s chasing is herself.

Ravens Point is a cinematic AI short that blends mystery, emotion, and surreal realism, exploring how memory shapes the landscapes we return to.

About the project

Title: Ravens Point
Format: AI-generated cinematic short film
Production date: May 2025
Theme: Memory, identity, and the search for self
Tone: Melancholic, cinematic, slightly surreal between arctic realism and dreamlike nostalgia

The story’s world sits between two atmospheres: a cold seaside town in the Arctic and a steampunk-inspired surreal dreamscape. The result is a haunting hybrid space both industrial and emotional, mechanical and deeply human.

Developing consistent characters:

In the early summer of 2025 AI character design tools were still evolving, and keeping a recognizable face and tone through multiple generations required careful experimentation.

Production tools

Image generation: Midjourney Version 6.1
Video generation: Kling AI 2.1 & Runway
Soundtrack generation: ElevenLabs & Udio
Audio & video editing: Adobe Audition & Premiere Pro 2025
Production date: May 2025

Each scene was carefully crafted through a blend of AI-driven realism and cinematic composition from fog soaked streets to dimly lit interiors filled with echoing metallic warmth.
The soundtrack combines Udio’s emotional scoring with ElevenLabs’ haunting vocal tones, designed to feel like an echo from another life.

Designing the world of Ravens Point

The environment of Ravens Point is a character in itself. I wanted the setting to breathe to feel alive, watchful, and heavy with unspoken stories.

To achieve this, I combined Arctic coastal realism with steampunk surrealism. Streets are wet with metallic reflections, chimneys hiss quietly against a pale horizon, and the sea glows faintly beneath layers of mist and machinery. Every corner of the town feels like a blend of memory and invention an echo of somewhere you might have lived, but can’t quite place.
