AI Challenge Cards

About the project

Title: AI Challenge Cards
Format: Physical card set for AI education
Production date: 2025
Theme: Education, creativity, and human AI collaboration
Tone: Playful, bold, and visually striking bridging design and pedagogy

The idea was to give AI learning a tangible form something that could live on the table, not just in the cloud.
Each card acts as a conversation catalyst, helping students identify their learning goals, reflect on their interests, and select challenges that match their skills and curiosity.

Visually, the cards are inspired by comic book storytelling and game design, turning the act of learning into a creative, collectible experience.

Designing the world of AI Challenge Cards

The visual identity of the AI Challenge Cards was deeply influenced by the iconic style of Frank Miller high contrast black, white, and red compositions that evoke power, focus, and narrative tension.

To this foundation, we added influences from comic, fantasy, and gaming universes like Dungeons & DragonsWarhammer Combat CardsYu-Gi-Oh!, andThe Necrohamster.
The result is a hybrid aesthetic: academic meets adventurous, where each card feels like part of a larger story about AI discovery.

Every element from typography to layout was designed to balance clarity and excitement, making the cards equally effective in a classroom, a workshop, or a creative lab.

Production tools

Concept: ChatGPT 4.o and 5
Visuals: Midjourney
Production & Layout: Adobe Illustrator 2025

The project combined AI-assisted ideation with human-centered graphic design.

ChatGPT helped shape the educational structure, challenge categories, and prompt language, while Midjourney generated stylistic inspiration for the card art.

The final production in Adobe Illustrator brought precision, texture, and consistency to the set — ensuring that each card felt cohesive, professional, and collectible.
